       Mixed

Typically meet in homes

Typically couples, singles, single parents, variety of ages, etc.

Typically focus around some type of Bible study

Optimal number of people (12-20)

           Men

Typically meet in homes or other venues

Men of various ages and life stages

Typically focus around accountability and sharing life
through activity and prayer

Optimal number (3-5)

Women

Many women’s groups are similar in format to mixed
groups, but have gender as their primary distinctive.

Task/

Service

Typically meet 1-2 times per month, sometimes more

All ages and life stages, with a few exceptions

Typically focus around a specific task/ministry

Optimal number of people (3-25) depending on the task

      Activity

Regular connection occurs through common activity.

These groups also meet 1-2 times a month for prayer,
accountability, and occasional study.
