Celebrate Recovery

Is there something amiss or hurting in your life that you don’t know what to do about? Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered healing and spiritual growth model for people suffering from hurts, habits and hang-ups. By working and applying the Biblical "8 Recovery Principles", we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

Celebrate Recovery meets on Tuesdays from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Chapel. For more information, contact the church office.

Celebrate Recovery celebrated its second anniversary this November! Over the last two years, we have seen people overcome or learn to manage their struggles with hurts, habits or hang-ups. This program is a blueprint for growing closer to God and surrendering all areas of our lives to Him.

Some highlights of growth we have witnessed over the last two years include:

  • Healed relationships with family members;
  • Alternative ways learned to combat or manage food addiction;
  • Codependent people learning to rely on God and themselves for their sense of well-being instead of others;
  • Tools learned to manage anger and frustration;
  • Recovery from addictions and compulsive behaviors including food, sex, computer games, internet, alcohol, drugs, shopping and gambling;
  • Where relationships cannot be healed at this time, healthy boundaries are set to protect ourselves from further hurt;
  • People surrendering control of each area of their lives to Jesus and learning to rely solely on Him.

Many of our new participants are from outside CMBC and have found us on the Celebrate Recovery website or from word-of-mouth referrals.

We want to thank the members of CMBC for their continued support and prayers for this ministry. We look forward to welcoming many new attendees this year who are ready to face their “brokenness,” whether it is a small area of their life or it has overwhelmed them, and turn to God for the healing that only He can provide.

Judy, CR Ministry Leader
