The goal of AWANA is to
reach three year olds through 6th grade boys and girls with the
Gospel of Jesus Christ and train them to serve Him by memorizing
scripture, earning badges and activity participation. Council Time
is the heart of AWANA. Through this devotional time, children are
introduced to the Lord and strengthened in their knowledge of Him.
Special events occur through out the year, rounding this wonderful
program for kids.

Uniforms |
|
▲ |
Upon completion of the entrance
booklet, a clubber earns the privilege of purchasing their uniform
and first book. An important aspect of AWANA is wearing the AWANA
Uniform. It is on the uniform that the clubber can display
what he or she has achieved during the AWANA year. Wearing the
uniform neatly and properly teaches the child the value of the
awards and helps to create personal discipline. While no child is
required to wear the uniform, it is AWANA policy that awards be
given only to clubbers who are in uniform. |

Awards |
|
▲ |
Attendance Awards
Throughout the year, four attendance awards can be earned for
regular attendance. A clubber will receive an attendance award for
every six times that he or she attends club. To earn all four awards
a clubber will need to attend 24 of the club meeting nights.
Sunday School Awards
Two awards can be earned. A clubber needs to attend Sunday
School or attend church 24 times to receive the two Sunday School
Awards. Any church service at any organized church will count
towards the award.
Handbook Awards
Each book at each level is divided into two main parts: Bible
and Activities. Success in the handbook depends largely upon
parental support. Children need to be encouraged to complete their
handbook sections. |

Pick-up and Drop-off |
|
▲ |
Club time is
on Thursdays from
6:30-8:00 p.m. Clubbers should arrive early enough to check-in
and be in the appropriate room for the beginning of club. We ask
that children not be dropped off until 6:20 p.m. Please do not
leave your child (children) unattended.
We require that all children be picked
up by an adult before they can be dismissed. The parking lot can be
dangerous at night. In general, we desire that parents pick up their
own children; however, written permission can be given for another
adult to be responsible to pick up your child (children). See the
registration card. All children need to be picked up promptly at
8:00 p.m.
In the even of inclement weather,
AWANA may be cancelled. If the school have canceled, the assume the
same for Club. Please check for updates at
www.cmbc.org. |

Visitor Recognition |
|
▲ |
We encourage clubbers to invite their friends to
visit. We ask that the friends be of the same age. If interested in
joining AWANA, a visitor must do so before Christmas Break and they
must pay a registration fee, handbook fee and a uniform fee. |
