Dear CMBC Family:

Well, here it is....May, 2008!

That means June is just around the corner!

I know you are feeling the anticipation of June 1st--the 'launch' Sunday of our adjusted morning worship gathering! I believe you feel along with your staff and elders that we are vigorously and bravely pursuing the call of God on our church, a call to (a) come together as a unified, multi-generational family, and (b) elevate the place of strong biblical teaching. Many, many people are praying for us in these days, as we embark on an adventure that fulfills our commitment to these two important values.

The Sunday morning Gathered Experience will take place in three parts: Family Gathering, Teaching Hour, Food. Please note the times of these interwoven 'movements':

     8:30      Family Gathering
9:15      Food (actually begins at 9:00)
10:00   Teaching Hour (primary, all ages)
     11:00    Food
     11:30    Family Gathering
Teaching Hour (supplemental, for those who could not attend the primary Teaching Hour)

Remember that all three 'pieces' form one seamless worship experience!

We could really use your help in some practical ways:

     1)  Please, please, please try to consolidate your vehicle usage. Make every attempt to minimize the number of cars parked in our parking lot. Utilize off-site parking and shuttle services. Pick up other friends, relatives, families on your way to church! Walk if you are able. Consider riding the bus!

     2)  Remember to engage fully and positively in the entire morning. Sure it will be different. Please find the best in everything.

     3)  Aim for patience! You know that not everything will run smoothly for a bit! I mean, this food thing is maybe biting off more than we should chew right away! But our great food service team is going for it! Be willing to wait in line. Be willing to serve. Be willing to miss a meal even!

     4)  If you've been around awhile, we are asking you to be 'givers' more than 'receivers.' Come not as consumers, but as servants...even more so than you already do!

     5)  Praying about these next few months is important and necessary. I know you know that. Let's make that our focus--walking and talking with God and paying attention to His voice and his stride alongside...

Well, that's about it for now. Oh...continue to come on Sundays for more teaching on 'The God of the Impossible' and ongoing updates about $1 million by June 1. GREAT things are happening, and we are very excited about how God appears to be moving!

Thanks for all you are and for all you do,

Kelly

Lead Pastor
